Secure IP door communication with smart functions

The new update function for Smart Gateways (SG 150 and SG 650) in release 2.2 ensures that your IP door communication is always up to date. If required, all updates can be installed overnight. Security vulnerabilities cannot arise as security-related updates are still installed even if the updated function is deactivated, provided there is a connection to the internet.

Smart switching via the app

Release 2.3 for Smart Gateways extends the functions of the Siedle app. It now also takes on the switching and signalling functions in the In-Home bus, making the app the control centre of smaller smart home applications, for opening the garage door or extending an awning, for example. If you have a Siedle letterbox, the app also notifies you when post arrives.
The new switching functions can be selected on the user interface or newly defined, including with individual names and option to define a favourite.

Never miss a door call again

The secondary signal output is particularly useful for Siedle systems that contain a Smart Gateway with which only mobile devices (and no fixed indoor stations) are used. This new feature ensures that the door call is always signalled – even when the smartphone is not reachable at that moment. The call is then indicated acoustically with a chime or visually with a light.

The Siedle app now knows when someone is ringing the bell at the front door or apartment door. This feature is also important when only mobile devices are used for door communication. The app is easily configured in the Smart Gateway as a call destination.

Availability of the new releases

The new firmware releases 2.2 and 2.3 for Smart Gateways from Siedle are available free of charge in the admin area of the devices (as of version 2.x). Newly delivered Smart Gateways are already updated. Siedle continues to refine the firmware and provides new versions free of charge.
