Siedle is ForeSight's new cooperation partner
Platform for smart living services
Siedle is an associate partner of ForeSight. The basic approach of this platform is to integrate manufacturer-independent and cross-sector smart living services into residential buildings in a way that is secure, reliable and user friendly. With a vision of a digital eco system, the innovative research project concentrates on the topics of artificial intelligence and semantic interoperability.
With the addition of renowned associate partners, the seventeen ForeSight partners are consolidating their sustainability strategy. In February 2022, S. Siedle & Söhne joined as an associate partner. The Black Forest company mainly provides expertise relating to building communication and access control and helps to develop a successful transfer strategy. The aim of the collaboration is to offer smart living solutions across sectors in future. With their external perspectives, the associate partners also provide significant impetus for the implementation of the innovative project content, especially in terms of the four applications: smart building management, smart energy management, intelligent building doorman and smart assistance.
Cross-sector collaboration
"The technology associated with smart living does need to be re-created for the ForeSight project. It's much more about ways out of the current silo mentality and pointing out the benefits of fully-networked, digital residential buildings. Thanks to the addition of our associate partners, we are leading the way with cross-sector collaboration and setting an example," says Michael Schidlack, ForeSight Principal Researcher.
Future platform with expertise in door communication
"In my view, ForeSight is a strong future platform for intelligent and forward-looking smart living services," explains Christoph Weber, Director of Technology at Siedle. "We bring our expertise as a door communication specialist to the table and are looking forward to new, exciting prospects for development."
With the aim of achieving more together, ForeSight brings the housing industry, technology providers for buildings, associations and science together to test AI methods for cost-effective operation in residential environments for the first time. Thus, all processes in a building will soon be able to take place digitally: from tenant communication and management to predictive automatic building maintenance and external services such as an intelligent doorman or keyless parcel delivery.
