Made in the Black Forest: About Siedle
What defines Siedle? We believe it is the people above all else. What they do, how they do it, the level of care, concentration and precision with which they work. And the positive effect this has on the quality of our products. Therefore it is only right that our employees are the focus of our company film.
Data and facts
Siedle is one of Germany's longest-established family-run companies. We have been manufacturing in Furtwangen in the Black Forest since 1750 and our company is now in its seventh generation. Our employees, of which there are around 450, are proud of the company’s history and call themselves “Siedleaner”.
We support our customers with our very own experts, live, person to person. Over 50 employees in Customer Service advise our electrician and trade partners. They provide technical knowledge and individual support, either by telephone or on site.
Siedle invests a good 10% of its revenue in research and development every year. Around 50 employees develop new products including those in hardware and software development.
Our youngest division, Digital Business, designs innovative business models of the future. Around ten employees optimize our system landscape and develop digital services, from augmented reality to e-commerce.
Siedle has always understood the importance of relying on innovative key technologies early on. Our ability to offer pioneering services and our willingness to take new paths are what makes the company stand out: this is also demonstrated by our milestones.
Environmental and climate protection are important guidelines from Siedle. They apply to our production, but also to our products. Because if you want to protect the environment and resources, you should manufacture things that work for a long time and can be repaired in the worst-case scenario.
Siedle offers building owners a strong partner network across the board. More than 120 studio partners and 530 Siedle partners in the German electrical trade are particularly specialized in Siedle. And more than 80 Access Certified Partners (ACP) in Germany and abroad are experts for the IP system Siedle Access.
Siedle operates four international branches and cooperates globally with more than 35 sales partners. They ensure that door communication from the Black Forest is available worldwide.
